Location: Wilmington, OH (ILN) What you will do: The Assistant Dispatcher will initially learn the duties of the Flight Support Specialist position which includes providing support to the aircraft dispatchers, direct phone communication with flight crew members, data entry and report generation, accurate recordkeeping in accordance with FAA requirements and monitor flight progress. The Assistant Dispatcher position will be responsible for domestic and international flight release preparation; prepare weather briefings; determine and order fuel; calculate payload; in-flight monitoring and debrief each flight; ensure all flights assigned are prepared; advise of any operational problems pertaining to assigned flights; communicate and coordinate deviations to plan with System Control, Maintenance Control and crews; coordinate operations with Airport Management, customers, and handlers; able to work variable schedules to include 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, with variable days off during the week.
